Dear fellow writer,
Welcome to Day 27 of your 30-day Writing with Pleasure challenge!
Today, your challenge is to write without words. You can draw or mindmap or dance, taking pleasure in observing the mental shift that occurs when you invite yourself to think visually and spatially rather than verbally.
If you want to time your writing today, here’s a fun timer to try.
Thanks for showing up to write, and I’ll see you tomorrow.
Ngā mihi mahana (warm greetings),

Oo - a good challenge...I'm knitting an anti-ICE protest hat - communicating resistance without words. Maybe that counts. I learned that during WW2 when the Norwegians were occupied by the Nazis everyone wore red pointy knitted hats with tassels. They ended up being banned by the Nazis. Someone has revived the pattern and the word has spread, so many people are knitting and wearing these hats to protest the horrors immigrants and protestors in USA are being subjected to. I tried mind mapping today. I slipped back into words because I don’t draw that well and because it’s hard for me to think visually and spatially. (I annotated my pictographs.) Next time maybe I’d get a literal map of my project and draw on it. Another interesting experiment.
