Wow, I covered some ground on this one. Talk about the Monkey Mind running amok. From parallel universe stacked like books to the bogeyman under the bed and whether it's exclusively male in gender. And much more in between...
I’m a day behind, thanks to an overnight visit from two very busy grandchildren, but they bring me joy too. Today I’m using that joyful time to overflow into my writing on ageing.
It can be hard to find pleasure in writing (and life!) when external forces bear down on us and cause grievous emotional harm. But joy, like writing itself, can be a powerful form of resistance — a refusal to let the world grind you down even in the toughest moments. Kia kaha!
I wrote about joyful moments and then longer feelings of joy - how I’ve experienced them externally and internally. It was lovely to wander through and around those ideas.
I always enjoy making a table consistent, and that’s how I spent my 25 plus minutes today - cleaning up and filling in a table which my daughter helped me make more understandable last night.

I made it to the 3rd day. Fun working on my methods section of my project. Thinking rhtough ideas about visual layouts of my study design was fun.

Writing with joy: I thought about dancing. Not sure it helped my writing, which was mostly cutting today. But I got things done!
Once you got things done, you are fine. I sometimes dance too! It motivates me!
