Help me create a compendium of Substack newsletters by, for, and about scholarly writers.
Dear fellow writer,
Where are all the academic writers on Substack? I know they’re out there somewhere; but I haven’t yet found them, aside from a famous few.
And where are all the writers who write about academic writing and research? They must be out there too, amongst the hordes of creative writers and writing gurus; but again, my own list remains small.
Let’s find each other and create a community! Please help me compile a compendium of scholarly writers on Substack (with “scholarly” broadly defined to include all academic writing), henceforth to be known as ScholarStack.
I’ll host it on my Helen’s Word homepage, submit it for inclusion in
’s terrific “Directory of Directories,” and post updates from time to time.I look forward to hearing from you if:
