Dear fellow writer,
Welcome to Swordswings, my monthly podcast series for writers in motion. These recordings are intended for you to listen to when you’re moving around — which is a great way to get your writing moving as well.
Today’s half-hour walk traverses the beautiful island of Waiheke (“cascading waters”) off the coast of Aotearoa New Zealand, the Land of the Long White Cloud. It’s based on a half-day excursion that I guided last week “in real life” for participants at my annual Island Time Writing Retreat — but today I’ll also be taking you on a metaphorical journey across the fertile island of your own imagination.
These podcasts are my thank-you gift to my wonderful paid subscribers. Members of my WriteSPACE community can download the audio files and transcripts of all Swordswings episodes from the Audio section in their WriteSPACE Library.
Thank you for supporting Helen’s Word. If you’re a paid Substack subscriber but not a WriteSPACE member, please contact us for information on how to unlock premium access to hundreds of additional writing resources including live workshops, exclusive videos, whizzy diagnostic tools, and colorful weekly prompts. I’d love to see you there!
Kia pai tō koutou rā (have a great day) – and keep on writing!
Helen
